Barcelona, a photo a day

Where is it, can you see it?

Not quite sure what these kids were looking for… Urchins, fishes, Atlantis… But it was an intense searching, on that evening at 9PM. Good luck, kids, find the sunken treasure!

My blog of note for today is Cezar and Leia’s Luxembourg. For those who don’t know the place, Luxembourg is a small but beautiful country north of France. My best memory of the place is a fabulous Banana Split in Luxembourg Ville. Enjoy!

  1. Uhoh! Hope they found what they were looking for. I'm not sure if it isn't very risky to leave children unattended at the edge like that though….

  4. Cute picture. Hope they don't fall in. Several youngsters were killed last week in Massachusetts or Maine (can't remember) when Tropical Storm Danny washed over them as they were standing on a jetty.

One has to wonder what the boy is looking at vs. what the girl is looking at.

    Enjoyable shot, Rob!

P.S. Do you still use your old Olympus? I'm doing more film photography lately and it's great fun.

  8. Isn't it charming how the least little thing can capture the imagination of a child and keep him (or her) entertained for hours?

  9. Who knows where their imagination is taking them in this shot. As a kid you can dream up all kinds of things. Looking for small creatures in the water can take up a whole afternoon.

  10. I loved your comment on Julie's Scottsdale Daily Photo site about music such as the Girl from Ipanema in shopping malls.

That prompts me to remember my disappointment when I bought a CD very quickly from an Andean street band playing in the Puerto del Sol in Madrid on New Year's Eve Day. It was crowded and I bought the CD based on the title “Sacred Music” and I did not check the song titles on the back.

It had songs like Frank Sinatra's “My Way.” Not what I expected or wanted on a CD from an Andean band.

Brattcat: yes, I took this photo at the end of June, early July, and it was light until almost 10.30 PM

  13. Very cute picture. I love the clearness of the water revealing the rocks beneath.
    Hope Mom/Dad/Adult was around!

  16. I just don't think “Miss Pretty in Purple” is as interested in what's in the water!
