Glass, and a smile, please!
Despite of the massive attraction offered this afternoon by the final of the Redbull Airrace, 1.200.000 reasons decided us to go to a small medieval festival in Sants. Monks, priests, peasants, knights, doing a lot of medieval things, and selling even more (it was organized by the shop owner’s committee). Some nice things, like this guy trying to make a glass, and trying not to freeze to death under the icy stare of the lady in the back. She obviously didn’t like being on this picture.
Lots of food as well, of course!

I really like the contrast between background and foreground in this. I think she's focused on the work of the glass shaper, not giving anyone an icy stare.

What an interesting shot, Rob. The concentration on the two faces in the foreground, the casual, un-medieval look of the people moving through the background really add up to a fascinating capture. I'm not certain the lady was giving anyone an icy stare. I think she was really focusing on the glass worker.

Hi Rob, I'm glad you posted this photo. I often wondered how glass was made and it's fascinating looking at this. The concentration, you'd need a very steady hand. The lady looks like she has a five day old dead fish under her nose.

Fun to watch a glass blower! Cool!
We made apple crisp yesterday for dinner guests – simpler than your much appreciated apple recipe which I'll try next time. You'll see it on my Monday posting!

Hi Rob, thank you for your greating message in my blog! Yes, that was a honeymoon trip, and our first time in France, i loved it! As I finished my french studies I decided to go only to France, to practice it. I wish i had more time and visit other cities in Europe, and Barcelona was not far from the places we went in south of France. Anyway, travelling is one of the things that i like to do most, one day certainly i´ll meet Barcelona as other cities in Europe as well.
By the way, i loved your post, me aand my husband love this medieval stuff, very nice!
