Barcelona, a photo a day

Black is beautiful!

Specially if it’s this wonderful black Cadillac waiting for a newly wedded couple in front of the Mataró City Hall!

The Cadillac automobile was named after the 17th-century French explorer Antoine Laumet de la Mothe, Sieur de Cadillac, who founded Detroit in 1701. Cadillac is a small town in the southwest of France, near Bordeaux. It is famous for it’s wines, Bordeaux and Sauternes.

  1. Cool Cadillac. My Aunt had one very similar to this one, back in the fifties. Great pic!

    Estou aguardando tua visita.

    Abraços,

    Furtado.

I didn`t know about the name, nor the place in France, so thanks for the info.

  6. Everyone should at some time in their lives ride in luxury like this, at least once. My family has owned several older Cadillacs. When I was younger our family car was a beautiful 1949. I'll have to post it one of these days.

Unfortunately, we did not have the time to linger, so we didn't actually see the happy couple
