Barcelona, a photo a day

Joan Miró

Joan Miró i Ferrà (April 20, 1893 – December 25, 1983; Catalan pronunciation: [ʑuˈan miˈɾo]), is one of the most famous Catalan painters and ceramists. Born here in Barcelona, he stayed in Paris for a while, and was influenced by Surrealism and Dada. He developped his own style, much more organic. Here is a cat, part of a larger picture depicting a woman with very large feet.

Here is what Wiki has to say about him.

Tomorrow, I’ll talk to you about one of the other famous Catalan painters, either Dali or Picasso, even though Picasso wasn’t really from here but from Malaga, much further south, and only moved to Barcelona aged 14.
