Barcelona, a photo a day

Sagrada Familia

View over Sagrada Familia Cathedral from Montjuic Hill. Started in 1882, the last known and estimated date about the completion of Gaudi’s masterwork is set fot 2026. 16 more years to wait. The original estimate for the completion was 2150… Good and fast workers!

Going at the moment through a long series of medical check, so not much energy left at the end of the day for browsing many blogs. I will be back soon, promised. Just need to totally switch pretty much all my habits to something much healthier. Wish me luck!

  6. All the best to you ROB! I hope you stick to what the doctors (and your wife) tell you to do, and that your health situation will be sorted out quickly.

A very nice shot. I can not remember seeing the city view like this before.

Sagrada Familia if I am not mistaken is Sacred Family right? What an incredible history of building Sagrada Familia. Am sure it will be a beautiful place to visit.

  11. It would be a joy to see you taking a picture of it again, once it is finished. Last time I saw it was way back in 1997.

Wishing you all the very best and a wonderful Wednesday as well.

  12. The day I visited La Sagrada Familia, the elevator was broken and we were all crammed in the stairwell. It took on average five minutes just to climb 5 stairs.

But I took a lot of pictures, and I look back on it very fondly.

  13. Good luck! I've been trying to do that same thing except that if I give up my bad habits I'll have no habits at all…a conundrum, you see!

This is a cathedral. It's looks rather like Disneyland!

    Seriously, I wish you well!

  14. It's magnificent but I still can't understand why it's taking so long to build.
