Not before I’m ready!
One can only admire these living statues on the Rambla! They stand or sit there for hours, not moving, in the heat, in the cold, waiting for someone to drop a coin in the basket or hat, but being mostly ignored. Ignored, laughed at, but mostly ignored.
As there are always at least 25-30 of them on the Rambla, I suppose it is worthwhile. Not sure if I would have the strength or the patience to do it.
If you want to see another of those street entertainers, here is one I posted a long time ago.
Great timing, Rob! LOL!
This guy's costume is magnificent. But I sure hope they do make enough money to get by. Maybe they do, else why will they return every day?

I've seen one or two of these performers over here. You gotta give them credit. I couldn't put myself out there like that. Especially the white guy.

I think this is really great but I could see how they would just become part of the local landscape. Tell me that isn't his long braid of hair streamed across his lap.

I could never do that! I would probably get an itch or something and then have to scratch it. The costume is certainly colorful and at first I thought that was a snake in his lap!

Oh my, I could never have the patience for that kind of work. So was this the pose, or did you really catch the “statue” before he was ready?

25 to 30 of them. Oh my God, that must be difficult for them. They are beautiful though. In Montpellier we will see one at times.

Love that commanding finger! I see from your weather widget that it's almost always warmer in Barcelona than here in southern Italy…I'm jealous! 🙂

That person does have on a very unique, interesting costume! It must be a very boring “job,” non?
Bon weekend Rob et Mandy
