  1. Wow. You would have to be an adventurous person to climb in that submarine no matter how well built it is. I like it as a creation in wood that would be way beyond anything I could hope to do.

  2. Good choice for theme day!
    How submarines have evolved!
Here's a World War II vintage sub in San Francisco.

  4. What else could one use better to get into contact with another “material of life” than wood.
Either within or around, guess that wood does make our lifes worth while and even adventures many a times.
Please have you all a wonderful Tuesday.

  5. Well I found this rather facinating as well as as being a fine piece of craftmenship. So it was made for coral divers! What a terrific submission and story-

Mine is up..whew! I guess I'm also pending. Anyway, Aloha-

  6. What a beautiful object! The wood seems to glow – many hands have rubbed over its surface, it seems. Also interesting history, I never knew people were trying to make submarines that long ago.

  7. How neat is that?! Did it work back in 1859? I wonder if it would work today!

It's hard to believe they could go deep inside the sea with this submarine, looks small! Anyway I know nothing about submarines, so that…forget what I wrote here… 🙂
