Barcelona, a photo a day

Should you go for a walk through Ciutadella Park, you will come upon this friendly creature, grazing in the shade. No, it is not a tame elephant, it is a mammoth. Built there for the 1882 Universal Exhibition.

Lately, the mammoth was feeling a bit down. So, that’s me, always helpful, blowing it up again. He felt much better afterwards.

  4. It must be startling — and fun! — to glimpse the mammoth through the trees if you didn't know it was there.

And I can't help but think: I hope you didn't get any snot on yourself. Eew! 😉

  8. Sometimes I catch myself being whisked back in time to places and things I only see in pictures. Some are more scary than others but I wonder what life would have been like when these giants were the largest thing on the planet.
