Merce 2010: the enchanted city hall
During the Merce Festival, several times during the evening, the facade of the Barcelona City Hall changes quite drastically… Enjoy!
The guest city this year being Dakar, the capital of Senegal, some of the photos have a very african inspiration.

How wonderful. I thought the first photo was smarties, then I thought balloons, then realised I was wrong. Surely they didn't paint them? How is it done? Melbourne doesn't have anything like this.

This is a dazzling series. Thank you.
By the way, you had left a comment on my site a week or so ago about Bimbo bakery. Americans sometimes are amused by the name of the Bimbo brand, as bimbo in the USA means a very attractive but empty headed woman.

You have convinced me that Barcelona is one of the most creative and artsy cities in all of Spain! Europe? The world? This lighting is sheer magic!

Isn't it amazing what they can do to the facade!
How many faces!
I'll have to show you how the Damascus Gate changed during the Light Festival.
