Sunday Bridges
Very few bridges in Barcelona, but many many many bridges in Venice. Here is probably the most famous one, ‘il Ponte degli Sospiri’, the Bridge of Sighs. The Doge’s Palace, on both sides of the Canale was being refurbished, and they usually cover work over there with publicity of whichever company is sponsoring the said refurbishment.

It's somewhat frustrating when we go to see some of the “most famous” stuff and come across such covers. This is how we found the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. Got to buy a postcard… 🙂

For a moment I thought I saw a bad dream, that they had win. Good, that it is only for the time of refurbishing. Poor tourists.

Oh dear, they could at least have covered it with one of those sheets with the old buildings painted on top. It looks like a shopping mall! Nevertheless,it makes a fascinating photo.

This could be a disappointment – seeing billboards of sky and adverts instead of architecture. Not even scaffolding to peek through!

I like the angle, you can see through to the next bridge. Pity the walls of the palace were covered.
