Market scene, aka post 900
This is a mediterranean photo. Although the photo was taken in Barcelona, the food depicted can be found all around the Med, Turkey, Italy, Israel, Algeria, and further away. I read years ago in the National Geographic that people living on a mediterranean diet (they mentioned olive oil, lots of garlic and some red wine) live longer. It is probably true, and what is even better: the food is delicious!

I fully agree with this diet:) Pity that we cannot buy all that wonderful fresh food here, at least we can buy olive oil:) Nice to find your blog!

900? Wow, I hope I can claim that feat some day!
The food looks colorfully delicious, and I would love some of all of it, starting with the sardines!

Healthy, yes. Pretty too.
I like that fish display.
When I first moved here, someone said to me “How can you be an Israeli if you don't like olives?” He claimed that all people of the Mediterranean basin are olive-eaters.
