Barcelona, a photo a day

Monday doorways

Yet another photo from our archives, a door, Sanctuary of Our Lady in Fatima, Portugal.

More magnificent doors here.

Very unusual, I wouldn't have guessed the place at all!

  2. Well, that's an impressive entrance! I can't make out the “painting” or drawing, though…looks rather like stormy weather…

Re your comment on The Villages: There are now about 80,000 people in The Villages. Most of them play golf, but a significant number do not. They all seem to like to redesign their golf cars (they don't call them golf carts! :-)) Most people who don't play golf buy golf cars as they are the main method of transportation within The Villages. The majority are run on batteries but a number have gas engines.

There are golf car trails everywhere. But certain retrofitted cars can drive on city streets within The Villages.

We love to visit The Villages but you have to be careful as there are golf cars coming and going everywhere – many of them driven too fast, and some drivers, I'm sure are under the influence!

  6. Fantastic – you are first up with a contribution to Monday Doorways. It is interesting that you and «Louis» both chose church doors today.
