Sagrada Familia: staircase to… heaven?
One fine spiral staircase, if I ever saw one! But wait… What could entice an adventurous mind more than a staircase to… where? Heaven? But no. Access forbidden. What a shame! But this makes it mysterious, and this is… nice. What might there be up there, in this place so different from any other churches?
Now that is mighty intriguing!

On Ascension Day I climbed a similar staircase up the tower of the Russian monastery of the Ascension (the landmark on the Mt. of Olives) and thought of this photo of yours.

Led Zeppelin could be hiding out up there! That's a seriously amazing staircase.

A pity that Gaudi himself didn't do the design of this stair. What a spectacle that would be.Still this one is also great. Thanks for showing.

Excellent. Tant que ce n'est pas ascenseur pour l'échafaud, ça ne peut être que bien ! 🙂

An amazing vision of Gaudi and it looks to be right out of a fairytale… The spires are stunning and what a treasure hunt to find all the symbolic details.
Love this shot!
