The golden ant
La Formiga d’ or, or golden ant, is one of the nicer bookshops in town. We just love the place, being giant bookworms. There are 2 of them in town, one in the cathedral’s cloister, and one nearby. Both have a very medieval feel. What’s your favorite bookshop like?
wonderful texture on the ceiling!

This looks like a great bookshop, I love to stroll around and look at books in such a place. And I think it must be nice and cool inside!

Well, I answered your question but failed to say that I love the “cave-look” to this great b/w photo!

Other than Shakespeare & Co in Paris, my favorite would be Taylor Books in Charleston, West Virginia. It is a bookstore filled with interesting books of many genres, has an art gallery, a terrace for tea, and a coffee bar. On Friday nights, the place is full with live jazz and wine.

This book shop looks great, I used to like Borders before they closed down, they had everything in there plus a cafe. There's quite a few little arty bookshops around Perth that are fun to explore.
