The old hospital
This was the old Hospital de Sant Pau i de la Santa Creu, until it moved to it’s present location in the early 20th century. Now it hosts some parts of the university, a public library, a garden, some cafes and other offices. Very nice place for a drink in the evening. Parts of the building go back to the 10th century.
«Louis» has been intending to write you that he very much likes the Sky Watch images in your masthead.

If it wasn't for the modern tables and people dressed in today's clothing, you could very well imagine ladies in wimples coming down those stairs, or knights in armour ready to ride off to battle.

Barcelona has amazing architecture for its hospitals, or former hospital in the case of your post today. I remember very well the photo of the hospital where you had your surgery. It was amazingly elegant.
