L’Hivernacle
In Ciutadella Park, between the Zoological and the Geology museum stands this building called the Hivernacle, or winter glasshouse. It was designed by Josep Amargós in 1884. The structure is an excellent example of the iron and glass based architecture from the same period that saw the construction of the Eiffel Tower.

Anonymous commentator, I haven't seen the movie, I'm afraid. But the word Umbraculo could be a spanish (or italian) version of the catalan Umbracle, which is another glasshouse in the same Ciutadella park in Barcelona. I wondered if this is the same palm house that was used in “The Passenger” by Antonioni starring Jack Nicolson? In the script it's noted as Umbraculo. He talks to an old man as they watch children play.The old man says “Other people look at children and they imagine a new world..But me…when I watch them, I just see the same old tragedies about to begin all over again.”
